I'm Bernardo Fernandez, a software developer in Brazil. My main interests are backend, systems and product engineering: understanding a problem, modelling its rules and building a tool that can be used and maintained.
Day to day that's TypeScript, React, Node and VTEX IO on Amara Net Zero's e-commerce; when the problem asks for another shape, Python and Go. What doesn't become a product becomes a public repository: an EPUB reader in the terminal, a scheduling API in Go, a machine learning experiment in mental health. Almost all of it lives on GitHub, with READMEs that explain the decisions.
I want to bring this work closer to bioengineering and biotechnology problems. That is a direction of interest; the projects here show what already exists in code. To discuss a project or a technical decision, write me.

Fixed the README redirect to use the language selected in the app. An October 2024 contribution accepted into the project; the code and review are in the pull request.
